Why We Exist
Millions of investors want to understand not only financial performance but also whether investments align with their ethical principles. Grow Halal exists to make that investigation more transparent, evidence-led and accessible.
What we do for each investment
Identify the asset
Name, ISIN, ticker and type (company, fund, ETF or pension).
Search public sources for links to Israel
Company filings, the UN and AFSC lists, contracts, government disclosures and press reports.
For funds: check the provider holdings file
Load the full holdings file from the fund provider and show the share of the fund assessed, flagged and not yet assessed.
Publish the result with its sources and date
Every page shows what we found, the sources behind it, and when we last looked.
Evidence sources
We use public sources only. Depending on the asset, that includes:
- •Company filings and annual reports
- •Fund provider holdings files
- •UN reports, including the UN database of businesses involved in Israeli settlements (A/HRC/59/23)
- •AFSC and other public divestment and campaign lists
- •News reporting and open-source searches
Every page lists the specific sources behind its result and the date we last checked.
Our 0% threshold
We flag any Israeli exposure we find: there is no minimum, so any share above 0% is recorded. Whether that matters for your investment is for you and your scholar to decide.
What is and isn't assessed
Not every screen is assessed on every page. Where a screen has not been run, the page says “Not yet assessed”. Funds and pensions without a holdings file show “Research under review” until we obtain one. Holdings are refreshed roughly every three months for funds with detailed data.

How often is research updated?
Research is reviewed periodically. Each page shows its last-reviewed and next-review dates so you can see how recent the information is.
Why do assessments sometimes change?
Investments evolve. Companies enter new markets, sign new contracts or restructure. When material changes are identified, assessments are updated to reflect current evidence.
